About Anita Pérez Garza
Anita Pérez Garza grew up in the small farming and ranching community of Zapata, Texas. After graduating from high school, she went on to higher education at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Upon graduation, she moved to Houston, Texas where she began her career as a financial analyst/accountant for various large companies. It is this experience that has made her the meticulous attention to detail attorney that we know today.
Anita Pérez Garza is a graduate of St. Mary's University School of Law where she obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence. While in law school, she served as a student attorney at St. Mary's Center for Legal & Social Justice, receiving a Pro Bono Certificate upon graduation. While in law school, she served as President of the Hispanic Law Students' Association and Treasurer of the Aggie Bar Association.
After nearly two years of working for a civil litigation firm, she opened up her own practice in December of 2011. Anita enjoys working on a diversity of cases and stays abreast on new changes in the law. She is one of the few attorneys in the State of Texas who has committed to the bar to complete double the requirements of continuing legal education, having maintained her membership in the College of the State Bar of Texas since she began practicing law.
